As you can see it was missing a door and all the other ones are damaged, found a toy place that sell new ones
    Project Nylint 00610

The plans are to remove the bumpers and wheels and other removable parts then sand blast it then lower and paint (not sure on color yet)

That's what I was thinking too Bruce. You're lucky, the window vans on ebay are more common and cheaper, unless it's a texaco one.

It's a window van and it's in very sad shape. No glass, interior, hubcaps, and it's missing the rear doors. Someone started sandblasting It and didn't remove the headlight trim or bumper. A total pile. It's not worth enough to sell.

That's too bad. Seems the one for me to get would be the good shape uhaul one. Has the interior and not as sought after as some of the others. Funny thing is I just went  to some antique stores yesterday and bought a Tonka van. I didn't even know there were these Nylint Econos

Nylint had a strong relationship with Ford. The did C-600 cabovers, 59-60, 61-66 F series trucks. and Broncos as well as the Econolines. I've always been a toy collector. I have some of all the Fords Nylint offered. Just another side of the hobby I enjoy.

The Nylint vans have always brought more than the pickups. They are very desirable. Very hard to find a good deal on one. The purple ones seem to sell the cheapest. Those Texaco vans bring crazy money. I've noticed those that have been repainted seem to bring the least. Most people want original paint. Once restored they never bring what they did originally. Here's a purple one on Ebay now.

I'm already watching that one. But I want one with interior stuff. I have a link to a site describing all that they offered. Pretty interesting.
I would like to find a van that has been repainted or is in worn condition because that is what I want to do and don't want to mess up a good one.

Tonka made a whole series of those little cab overs. Regular vans like yours. window vans, pickups, fire trucks, semi trucks, winnebagos, dump trucks, Buddy L followed suit and made a bunch too. Buddy L's have a funky chrome grill and head lights on them and don't look like any real truck. Of course the Tonkas don't either but they are a little closer. I've picked up a few here and there. They're usually pretty cheap.

TNT Toy Trucks has been around for a while now. The guy that started it, Timothy Timm  died a few years ago. A friend is maintaining the site now but it hasn't been updated since 2010. It's a great resource but it doesn't cover everything. I have a few trucks that are not listed in any catalog. I'd love to find out some history on them.

The Lavender Nylint van went for $168 and tomorrow the Uhaul van ends. I bet that one is a $200 one. Way more than I'm willing to spend.

I'm just hoping for something in good to fair shape that I wouldn't feel bad repainting like my van will be.

That lavender van was 62 when I first posted it. LOL. Kinda got out of hand. I like the Uhaul and would like to have it myself but It's at 127 now and it's got a broken trailer hitch. Already too much for me. The hitch is the deal breaker. What's the point of having a Uhaul van if you can't put a Uhaul trailer behind it? Rolling Eyes

Toy collecting can get expensive very quick. Some of mine I got cheap and some I've paid dearly. I enjoy collecting and have a lot of fun doing it. Just keep looking. The right one will come along sooner or latter.
