Travco Camper Van A108 Empty Travco Camper Van A108

    Post by mlbrown322 Mon Feb 23, 2015 3:07 pm

Recently purchased this gem and was hoping to get an idea of it's value.  I plan to spruce up the interior some, take it to a few shows and eventually sell it.  It's a Father-Daughter project for now.

I'm looking to replace the passenger windshield, so any help there would be appreciated.

Here's some data on the vehicle:
    Slant 6 225 w/ 102,000 Miles
    Canvas top is perfect shape
    New Brakes, Master Cylinder
All electrical working perfect, was shocked when AM Radio came in clear
All Lights are perfect working order, no cracked lenses
Tires in Great shape, fairly new.
    Barn Stored for 17 Years.
Travco Conversion, w/ Heater, Stove, Sink, Fridge...all working order.
Body rust, but frame and undercarriage is Immaculate!!

The rust isn't too bad. I have seen many a LOT worse. The good is that its original rust and has not been molested. Good running order 1500 sounds good for new england. The windshield is flat glass so you can take the drivers side piece out and take it to the glass shop they can cut you a new one. I would get a new gasket and new glass both sides. Good luck and enjoy your project,I see lots of potential.

lol! that gave a good laugh first thing in the morning, thanks benwah Smile

That looks like furnace vent to me. Van has potential. I like the add on rear cargo bumper extension.

    Thanks all.

The Vent on RH Side is a Heater Vent.  Plugs right into a LP Tank from the outside.
The Extended Back Bumper is Travco Original, and is solidly welded to the frame.  I would love to modify this so it could slide in and out as needed, but that would require some serious work, that I don't care to put into it.  Keeping it original adds more storage to the Camper with plenty of rooms for Bikes, Coolers, you name it.

Even with rust I would value at $2,500 due to the original/rare nature of the van. You find the right person you can get it. Sweet Van.
