More Collins Communications Van

Old picture in front of Collins Radio Company. Company goes back to the 1930's and supplied equipment to the military in all the wars from WWII to Vietnam and more.

This is Ed I believe. He bought it from Collins and used it for years for his Collins Radio outlet. Then in retirement delivered refrigerators in it. See Picture a couple below.

Original Color Pictures of Van

This is Ed, the guy who bought the van from the Collins Radio Company and sold it to the guy who restored it. Notice the condition of the van. The video said he was delivering refrigerators in it and his wife just wanted it out of the driveway as a anniversary present! lol

Current owner and restorer

Picture of Cab area after restoration. Nice air condition set up!

Wow, those are awesome photos ! Im not sure of my 64 Econoline's early history as a service vehicle but know that she went on the road hauling Dead Heads from the late 70s thru the 90s. Stickers, posters, etc glued to her interior, guitar rack too. No sign of Jerry or the band but the ceiling bumper sticker says "There is nothing like a Grateful Dead Concert" I will post them when I post all my other photos by March. Happy New Year my fellow Vanners !

me too ! Im too far west to catch those shows but they will be awesome. Even after cleaning the van up I still have the sticky part of dancing bear stickers on my side view mirrors and through out the vans interior. I will post them soon or send to your email or phone. My phone died yesterday after I dropped her into a puddle and cracked the screen and I never figured out how to post photos on VV. My wife will assist next week, I hope. Peace, Wayne

Ya that GMC is pretty nice, I'd love to see in person. Especially how the inside paneling was done.

Couple more newer pictures of old workers...
