    I made a custom wrench with Z bend so I could get the bumper bracket nuts on the bolts without dropping the tank, still took hours!

    Looks like another Krylon Kowboy!!! I admire anyone who can paint with a spray can! Whenever I've tried, it just ends up with lots of runs and looks awful. Probably trying to put it on too thick for lack of patience!!

    HaHa!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when my Dad painted our old 1948 Pontiac--- with a BRUSH!! There was then a auto paint u could apply with a brush as I remember -seen same stuff years later too!! The car came out very nice too - although --- u could see some brush strokes if u were close & looked hard @ it!! Stayed great looking for years too!!Never did peel or fade!! Likely had somegreat LEAD Base in it too !!!!!!!!!!!! cheers

    Back on page 2, I see some pretty nasty rust on the roof line just above the rain gutter.

    It's fairly certain that the entire roof is like that and will just bust through using a wire wheel on a drill.

    What'd you do about that?

    I ground it down to bare metal it was just on the surface an on the rain gutters I had it welded

    had to buy a new battery today have spent nearly as much as I paid for the van to get it on the road ok so most was for cosmetic stuff an not engine related
