Steering Gear Box Empty Steering Gear Box

Post by Guest Wed Jul 30, 2014 4:40 pm

I have a '64 G10 Panel Van. I have been removing and cleaning the underside of my Van project. Steering box looked like a big grease ball. After cleaning it up and refilling with fluid, it appears to be leaking around the output shaft (pitman arm). Books shows a seal at that end. Anyone have a source for that seal? Local parts stores don't seem to have a clue.

    Thanks.

Thanks, donivan65. I will run those numbers past the local boys and see what we can come up with.

I would try running grease in there to see if it stays in before messing with that seal,,,,,,,there might be a worn out bushing there causing the problem......
