anyone know if this will fit my 69? clearly says it will, is it a bolt on thing or is their factory brackets or something that my van does not have since it came without power brakes?

Thats what I was thinking, why in the world would summit say that it fits? They even have the link on the page to check if it will fit and it lists all the g van models and says it fits... I understand ebay saying dam near everything fits a g10 when you search but summit, come on.

summit does no reaserch of their own, they count on
others to do this, if it is printed somewhere they think
    its true.

We do have power brakes on some of our vans,,,,,,,using the little hot rod Vacuum booster set up,,,,,RipVanArkie used the 90 degree Ford/Dodge set up and mounted it across the front of the radiator,,,,,,M1D extended the brake pedal rod and put it under the drivers seat under the van......these vans did come with power brakes,,,,,,,but they only powered 1 brake line....and we need a 2 line system.....

Here is our brake set up,,,,,,you cant move the pedal and the master cylinder sits up against the radiator,,,,,,,the master cylinder sits up against the floor,,,,,,there is no room for a vacuum booster which fits between the pedal and master cylinder....

Set up straight back, this is as close to the original mount as you can get. Blows away the stock radiator position and makes installing a normal sway bar impossible.

Do you have any more pictures of this setup? Radiator position ? stock sway bar won't work? did you use an aftermarket in it's place?

This pic is from a project that is ever changing in ideas. Nothing is finished and all is apt to change. I have moved an engine back 14", and cobbled a swaybar from a Plymouth Arrow PU in mounted weird and backwards. At this time I want to ditch the air ride stuff and get a swaybar in where it belongs and real springs. When I get the time to mess with it I am going to try making a bell crank set up that will point the MC and booster to the front making a 180 turn. I just posted this to show how bad it can be to keep stock locations on some critical parts.

I'd put this in the "Kids Don't Try This At Home" catagory.
