been getting the interior in my van to look a little more presentable. when I bought it about a month ago, it was a clean slate inside. the only interior consisted of newly recovered seats, and the original headliner.
there are two small vents in the roof that were probably installed when it was in service as a fire department vehicle in Virginia.
the wife and I wanted to do a relatively inexpensive interior that is somewhat presentable for everyday commuting, camping and all around vannin.
working at an rv company has it's rewards, and I scored a nice dinette from a toy hauler that the new owners didn't want in it.
I cut the cushions and benches down to 48'' so they would fit in the rear area, and installed them. I didn't get the table that came with it, but it would have been too wide to fit between the benches and fold into a bed. so, I used a piece of 3/4'' plywood instead. it fits nicely and is firm enough to support us when we are sleeping.
I used some thick carpet padding, under some low pile gray carpet that I bought for another project. I had it laying around and couldn't find any black shag around me. it will work for now, untill we decide to go all out with it.
I am debating on removing the rear small vent, and installing a fantastic fan that I pulled out of a popup camper from work. I love the look of the small vents, but might appreciate that fantastic fan on a hot day.
anyhow. here are some pics of it. it's not done, but it's on it's way. let me know what you think.
