With all that travel, it's a wonder you can get any work done on the vans! How did you come up with Thunderkiss name? I think I figured out the 65 part (What a Genius I am!LOL).

I found one of these at the Cape Girardeau Mo swap meet a couple of years back. Guy only wanted $60 for it. I really had to fight with myself to keep from buying it. I had thoughts of putting it in my 67 eight door. There was a time I called myself a Pontiac man! I've had a bunch of Catalinas, GTOs, LeMans, 389s, 400s, 421s, I learned to drive a stick in my best friends 68 Firebird Sprint with the OHC four barrel, 4 speed, posi. Yep! Really had to tear myself away from buying it. I decided to make another round of the swap and it was gone when I got back. Stuffing that OHC in a Ford was gonna be hard on my old body. It would be great to see both your vans at Baker's this year, get busy and find another driver. Two drivers two goodie bags

That would be cool, but I am not going to rush this since it's an 'unknown quantity'. Besides the Pontiac OHC six and TH200 4R, it will be getting front discs and possibly EFI.

Which means it will be getting a lot of fabrication work done. In and around my work schedule. I will at least have my 68 back out to Baker's!

Loaded up and brought er home.... almost...

Stopped in Fowlerville for gas and a little BS session with G-man

The F150 shed it's muffler, but no big deal- mufflers are over-rated anyway.

Got 2 miles from home, get off the freeway, clutch to downshift and POP! The clutch pushrod snaps on the F150.

Tried MacGuyvering it, but no go. One of my son's friends came and hitched up the trailer and towed the 65 to my house, then we went back for the Ford. Hooked up a tow strap and as soon as it got tension, the hitch broke off his truck! Damn lucky that didn't happen towing the trailer....

In the end, all's well. 65 is home, F150 is home, and all it needs is a $40 part. Can't kick, paid $750 for the F150, only has 211,000 miles on it.

As long as everyone, including the new van and your son's friend are home safe, that's all that matters!!! Congrats, looks like a nice straight project!

Dan had put some "semi solid" side doors on it when I picked it up. ;)I used one of those for the orange one and dug up my best "semi solid" door from my stash to replace it. I don't know about where Dan got it from but he and I have kept it under a roof for quite some time.
I had the gasket prepped and with Gregg knowing what he was doing it didn't take long to get that windshield in for the trip.
