I know they made campers for the 60's Falcon... (pretty rare though). I got a 62 Falcon regular, and want to turn it into a surf mobile so we can sleep on the inside, if we go beach camping, or out to Joshua Tree or Zion, ect. Anywho... where can I find a bench that'll fold out into a bed, and how about creating storage space? If there's old storage stuff from wrecked van's that'll work, but I imagine those are in short supply. Any thoughts?

I saw this on an RV site and am thinking of doing something similar in my van. Looks like you can customize the length/width pretty easily and you end up with a couch that turns into a bed but does not waste any storage space. If you build one first put up some pictures, I'll do the same if I get to that stage first, although mine is still pretty far away, haha Anyways here's the link: http://www.doityourselfrv.com/diy-rv-sofa-bed-madmumsie/
I figure $50 at home depot and you're in business, just add cushions.

The sofa-beds from later model conversion vans will fin in an Early. You can get them that make a nice big bed with manual or electric recline/convert.

Check out the seats from a 80's Ford Aerostar. They fold flat and make a bed, you just have to modify the brackets to work. Putting a set in my "Surf Wagon" for the same reason.

Will anything newer just snap into the pre-existing attach points in the floor of my '63 Falcon? I want to add a seat in the back and would prefer not to drill holes in the floor and am not a fabricator. Thanks.

Reviving an older post but it may come handy for someone looking to build their own sofa bed.
These work real good and when in sofa mode they lean in a bit so you don't feel like you're sitting so square. They are from the VW Westy so if you've been in one of those you know what I'm saying.
