got it cut out from 3/8 stock aluminum finished the grinding, sanding and used a scotch brite pad, next i'll drill the size holes i want i'm thinking 4 or 6 holes would look good and then comes the polishing, and haave to do it all again for the other side,

i doubt it dix, its not that nice, it has some bubbling on both rear corners in the paint,not show worthy

I have a feeling you are under estimating yourself and your van. It's not always about a finished product. It's about seeing what someone is doing and what they have done. If you want to Show off a bit , put it out there! To me it's part of the experience of being there. The "It's not show worthy " thing has no real bearing here. The fact that it is an Early Van makes it unique enough to Be Worthy.

^ unless you're taking ot to a concours show bring it out man! What are they going to do? tell you your van is crap and ask you to leave? HELL NO! They want all the heads and tires out there they can get! I guarantee you once you go out, you'll see worse off projects and that will make you feel great because from what Ive seen of yours it looks Vantastic! Now go out and play at the show!

i guess i'm in, thanks guys for clearing that up, all the car shows i've been to if you enter and its not near perfact they made like (why did you bother), i always thought that wasnt rite, cant wait to meet all you guys there !!

Ok so now we are getting to where i was going last nite .just a heads up you never showed your van at a nats yet so when you go down to the show you will need to pull up to trere tent . and the van nats board will pre classifly your van meaning counting the body changes 0 shanges is stock wheels and tires don't count. from what i'm seeins front and rear bumperettes would be 2 changes. or a mild custom, and that's about 5 min, now keep the card they give you and it may help at the next van run you attend.

thanks dix, i'll do that, the only things changed is blue dots in the tail lens, no bumpers, will be nerf bars, i dont think tinted glass would mater and chrome wheels,

ps. i agree with all the post above. but your van maybe in the show for about 5/6 hours. And no you do not have to stay with it. But what i do is bring a small quick / easy tent and that's where i leave my gear. Clothing and such. so if it did rain your gear is a little protected. as far as the show goes every thing is points . let me know if you want me to get into all that.

blue dots and tint and relocating your plate don't count for body mods the bumpers do.

thats what i was going to ask you, when the show is over do i park the van were i'm staying all night? i may just skip out on the show then and just park were i'll be for the 4 days, its a pain loading and unloading my scooter,

If you are there thursday then i beleive you will show on friday throw the scooter in the van . take it to the show with some lawn chairs and a cooler . use the scooter to cruise the show when ya get tierd hit the lawn chair and a beer. the show will be where the action is at.

The last time the nats were at this site 1/2 of the vans were judged on friday the other half were sat, If your class was friday and you got there friday afternoon then you would be judged on sat. but the show goes for 2 days.

i hope to park next to guys on here, are you going thursday? if not i'll just look around for some older vans but no young kids, or motor homes, lol

I would be parking with my club Custom coaches and three rivers vans. at this time i'll get there thursday nite and my guess is once thru the gate they will be to the left and up the hill.
