Welcome Bill. I can see that you're up for a challenge. But you can see the big picture hidden beneath that flakey paint. The body looks to be pretty straight and solid. This site has so many helpful and encouraging people on it that it helps to keep you motivated when you see so much support.
Keep the pics coming as you progress.

Welcome to VV. That van is sitting nice already. Keep the progress fun and "when" you get overwhelmed, grab a beer and surf the forums for info. There's a lot of excellent help here to get you through anything and everything.

thanks for the nice welcome and encourgement.....
the doors on the van were stuffed with fiberglass insulation. It appears the insulation served as a sponge and held all the condensation. When I removed the paneling and insulation, the insulation was soaking wet. Thus rotting the bottoms of the doors. I'll just cut the rot out and weld on new metal.

If you have never owned one of these before...just a side note for you. As you are going along fixing stuff, you may find that gauges may or may not work. These gauges are 6 volt. Under the dash there is a 12v/6v box for the gauges. I thot of that when I saw that you had repaired hose on tank. sending unit may be gummed up as well. Not sure what all works on yours, but I thot I should just throw that out there just incase your gauges are not working and then decide to fix them. Putting 12v to them will require replacing them after ward...lol.

that's good to know that the gauges are 6v. I didn't mess the sending unit because of the cost of a new one. I didn't want to ruin the gasket.
Just to be sure I'm on the right page...the van is a 12v system and the gauges are reduced down to 6v......correct?

    thanks guys for the encouragement.....
maybe you guys can help me with this issue....I bought this heater from a guy who said it came out of a falcon van. It was damaged in the mail, go figure, so I marine gooped it up.
Where can I find a switch, and the 3 cables I need to complete this. I found a wiring diagram on your ford van section,so I think I can hook her up.......

Heres my suggestion 4 ya =Cables- universal =cut to lenght =NaPa=or?? even try Fred -here =maybe he has all> & switch?? hes the econo guy!! or can direct u on all. For the broken housing - Id get some JB Weld and add some metal with some holes in it (strapping -universal) type & get that fixed = the stuff ur using can be applied over all that if needed?? when dry as by itself =likely ; wont hold & you will be doing it all over aging in time? Maybe someone will have a spare unit here ??

Both the rear and side doors on my 67 that I had started on were completely rotten because someone used the doors as screw and nail buckets (Dad)...lol. Replaced bottom 5 inches inside and skins as well. Compared to my doors yours look mint...lol. you should have no problem bringing them back into shape. Keep the pics a coming
