My B pillar is 9 inches between the front and side door,,,,,is that where your triangle window frame does not fit correctly? How does the rust around the windshield look?

Don - sorry, I have not been near the van, as I have only been down to my shop for one brief moment. I am very much hoping that my friend can help me wrap it up this weekend. Once I can get a tape on that window, I will let you know.

That is what I have been told. I was also told that you would have been disappointed when you found out how much I got it for. However, obviously it needed lots of love ($$$). As soon as it gets out of prison, we can meet up somewhere and ride!

Ha, no I'm only disappointed in how much I paid for mine! It was just a wee bit too much considering the engine won't last long. I told your seller that he could essentially give it to me but I just didn't have the work place, desire, or know how to do what the roof needed. So good for you for saving it.

Way to go, man! Replacing a roof sounds so straightforward, in concept, but I'm sure it's a lot of work and tricky to do right! You're going to have a totally solid van now. I'm glad you and I didn't try to do this. For one thing, I don't have a forklift!

I'd like to see some more close-up photos of where you put the seam. Looks like it's right on the bodyline where the two-tone paint scheme runs. Stronger there? Easier to hide the welds? And what about on the inside, did you use the cross pieces that came with the new roof?

I can't wait to see your van in person. One of these days when both our vans get sprung from bodyshop jail!

Seam shots...

Rear Roof reinforcement - with some square pipe inserted, we were able to reconstruct and reinforce the rusted piece that we removed...
