    Fender flares

Post by G-Man on Sat Jan 03, 2009 8:07 am

These are Dodge flares, but I have heard they can be made to work on Chevy's. KC confirmed that this can be done. I think Bvrwally has them on this van too???

Yes Chris... mine has 74 Dodge Front flares all around on mine! We used them to pop a mold of them...then modified them by adding @ 6" on the "Leading" edge and made all four from that set of molds. Total cost was $25 back in 1975. Sadly, the guy who made the mold, cut it small to make a set for Triumph TR3 as it had the same radius!! I no longer have access to the molds! Sad

I'm going to (maybe) add these flares to my Van and have bought 2 sets. I was told you put them on backwards. When holding them up to the wheel wells it looks like they'll go on with very little trouble.

Been working on my sons `72 G20, it should be painted before the end of the month.

I'll see what LF knows about the flares, thanks

I have a '66 Chevy that came with a J&J gullwing door (I sold the door) and inside the van was a rear driver side flare I am assuming was also made by J&J. I don't have a passenger side. The flare fits the early wheelwell lip like a glove with no gaps. Anybody recognize it and is it possible to confirm it as being a J&J creation? Thanks.
