Ive been looking at the past posts on throttle / accelerator/ gas pedal linkge problems that have ben discussed on the forum. A couple ofthe post gave me some things to look at to resolve my problem but none specific to the problem.
My rig is a 67 A100, originally had the /6 and 727 trans in it. The PO converted to a V-8 , I was told it was a 360 but since the engine was not in the vehicle when I got it, I cant verify that. So yesterday Im hooking up all of the linkages for the trans and carb. The throttle cable was neatly coiled and tied and until this time I did not inspct it. I went to hook it up to the carb and it seems way too long, also the ends have been modified and are pretty well fubar.
Now after reading alot of the previous posts Im thinking the throttle linkage from the pedal to the carb should be a linkage rod and not a cable. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
