DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY PICTURES OF A SECOND GENERATION WEDGE CHOP. SAME HEIGHT IN BACK, 6 OR 7 INCHES IN FRONT. I CHOPPED MY 65 YEARS AGO (STRAIGHT CHOP) AND I WANT TO CHOP MY NEWLY AQUIRED 67 WITH AN ANGLE OR WEDGE CHOP. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME PICTURES OF A WEDGE CHOP. (NOT AS COMMON) THANKS....MOJO

I did find this in my midnite tutorials. I am not sure I like it as much as a straight chop

well a wedge chop would be about the only way to make these things more aerodynamic... I like the wedge look myself!

A BIG part of the problem is the hole in the air behind the van. I've heard that a brick with a wedge end is better with the wedge in back, not the front!

    Here is an example

I'd imagine that doing side skirts, a front air dam and one of those airfoils that were supposed to keep the rear windows clean would be less work and much better for aero.

Here's an old obeservation.= Back in the 60's @ the drags - the ststion wagons racing were always faster than any other body style!! Now we know why. Aerodyanamics- the cut off back section =with airflow going over craeted a vacumn= that actually made the airflow =Push the back of the old wagons.

    HUH?? Vacuum pulls, not push!
I bet it was due to more weight over the traction limited tires of the day.

Thanks for the time and thought about the aerodynamics. I have never seen the trailer tail. Seems like a cool deal to cut the air. But I must admit that the reason I want to chop the truck is to give it a cool look! It is all asthetics to me. I have always been a fan of chopped vehicles....32 ford tudor, 50 Merc, chopped old chevy van. It is all for the look.

This is probably the chop I am looking for as far as height. I am not going to shorten truck, though.
