Another great Early Van invention,,,,,do you see a hole where the hose went,,,,,,or up to the dash,,,,,,maybe an air horn, air ride,air shocks,,,,or washer battle,,,,looks like a hand operated air pump,,,,,something ran on air,,,,,,

Man I can't find anything. At first I thought it was some kinda tire pump but decided that it couldn't be that, it was mounted solid with 2 straps.

So I see it there on the doghouse. Looks like an air pump by the two holes on the top. I wonder what the threads are for on the shaft sleeve. Could it have been some kind of fire extinguisher?

Wondered that too...But it's not kike it could pop outa there and be used. Has a screw in each side of the strap

I'd bet custom washer pump. I doubt it has a Pentastar or part number on it, huh?

It reminds me of a tool we have in the shop to suck small amounts of fluid out of odd places ,, but with the right plumbing it could be a fun squirt gun Laughing

Just noticed that your seats use 4 pins per seat...mine needs the 2 pin type that has the ball latches in the back

never seen the pump thingy but the seats look like b series van seats about 71 to 76 or so.

I have the other seat brackets that go to the floor if you want to switch over to the 4 pin type.

did you open up the pump, I do not know what the pump is for. does the van windshild wiper pump work ? they may have used it for the windshild??? thats my guess
